Keuka College has formalized a new business partnership with the Children’s Home, a child welfare agency based in Binghamton, NY.
The two institutions have collaborated for many years. The Children’s Home has frequently served as a host site for Keuka College’s signature Field Period® experiential learning program, providing internship opportunities for students in a variety of human services fields. The agency has also hired numerous Keuka College graduates.
Now, staff members at the Children’s Home will be eligible for discounted tuition when enrolling in Keuka College’s online and hybrid degree programs designed for working adults. These include Keuka College’s Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs, as well as its newly launched Master of Science in Leadership program, which offers an optional Healthcare track.
“We love investing in our staff as they invest in the youth and families we serve,” said Tanyelle Newman, staff recruiter at the Children’s Home. “We’re thrilled to partner with Keuka College to help our expanding team grow personally and professionally.”
The partnership will also create new opportunities for the Children’s Home to connect with Keuka College students through job and internship postings, while providing the organization with access to select campus resources and services.
Keuka College Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing, Technology, and Hospitality Pete Bekisz ’12 said the partnership reflects the shared missions of both organizations.
“This partnership means a great deal to the College. For over a century, Keuka College has worked alongside employers and organizations to expand opportunities across the Finger Lakes region. The Children’s Home has likewise served our region and supported human services professionals for more than 100 years, and we’re delighted to be part of that story.”
